Tolpuddle Martyrs' Festival, Dorset

A major annual festival of music, drama and debate - the Tolpuddle Matyrs' Festival is held in Dorset and celebrates the memory of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, a group of agricultural labourers who were tried and transported to Australia for the 'crime' of trying to form a union. Their story is key to the formation of modern trades unionism.

Weekend camping tickets are available for purchase. Entrance to the festival is free.
