Daniel Heery, Chief Executive of Cybermoor and national Social Enterprise Ambassador presented Chris Dabbs, Chief Executive of Unlimited Potential with the award at the first Social Enterprise North West Trade Fair.

The Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Network have successfully passed strict criteria to achieve the prestigious Social Enterprise Mark which was awarded to them by leading academic Professor Harold Goodwin.

Selwood Housing is the first organisation in Wiltshire and the first housing association nationally to be awarded the prestigious social enterprise mark.

Sandwell Community Caring Trust is the first health and social care provider in the Bay to be accredited with the ‘Social Enterprise Mark’. During the visit to St Kilda the Mayor presented a plaque to mark the occasion. The Social Enterprise Mark is one of trust, that proves the company is trading for the benefit of local people, rather than the benefit of shareholders or owners.

Selwood Housing has donated £20,000 to West Wiltshire Credit Union, which will be used in part to fund a new post and training opportunities for their staff.

Community hospitals in Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary will benefit from an innovative way of recycling.

Deb Lapthorne, Plymouth’s Director of Public Health, presented the award at a showcase event at the Trust’s Jan Cutting Healthy Living Centre.
