Your right to privacy is taken very seriously by RISE and we want you to feel comfortable using the Social Enterprise Mark web site.
This privacy policy explains how we will handle information (referred to as "data" below) that is collected on our site and that may identify individual people. We are always committed to collecting and handling data in accordance with the eight principles of data protection as set out by the UK information commissioner. These say that data must be:
- fairly and lawfully processed;
- processed for limited purposes;
- adequate, relevant and not excessive;
- accurate;
- not kept longer than necessary;
- processed in accordance with the data subject's rights;
- secure;
- not transferred to countries without adequate protection.

RISE is the sole owner of the data collected on this site. We will not share this information with others in any ways other than those detailed in these terms and conditions, and will not sell or rent it to anyone else.
We only use the information you provide when you register for the purpose of supporting your involvement in Social Enterprise Mark activities, providing RISE materials, for administration, for general statistical purposes, for obtaining any relevant professional advice and in order to focus and customise the services of RISE.
RISE may disclose some information you provide to third party approved organisations and individuals who are directly involved in delivering the support you receive. If you wish to know who these are and how they are involved in your support, then please contact admin@rise-sw.co.uk.
RISE also reserves the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information in order to comply with applicable laws and with lawful government requests, to operate its systems properly or to protect itself or its users.
You may request to view, edit or delete any personally identifiable information that RISE holds on you. If you wish to do this please contact admin@rise-sw.co.uk.
If you wish to have your information deleted we may remove any personally identifiable tags from your information and archive it for statistical use.
Content or other data that you provide to us that is not contained within your user account, such as posts within our forums, may remain on the site at our discretion even though your user account is deleted. Please see our Terms of Use for more information.
RISE may send you updates on services, additions to the website, up-to-date information about RISE materials and activities. We may also invite you to participate in statistical exercises, customer feedback surveys etc. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Survey information will be used for the purposes of monitoring and improving the use and satisfaction of this site and for informing the development of RISE and regeneration support. The purpose of any survey will be made clear and specific when information is requested.
We may also automatically receive general information that is contained in our server log files such as your IP address and cookie information.
