Nationally recognised, Devon Doctors provide out of hours medical care across Devon, reinvesting profits for the benefit of patients.

They have gained an excellent reputation working to meet and improve on their high standards, and the expectations of the patients. In October 2004, the Primary Care Trusts in Devon took over responsibility from GPs for out of hours care and commissioned Devon Doctors to provide the out of hours service. Devon Doctors is an innovative social enterprise business model who on behalf of Devon practices took nearly 500,000 calls from patients in 2006.

As a progressive service the social benefits offered by Devon Doctors need to be acknowledged and celebrated, the Social Enterprise Mark will do just that.
